Our Story

Eleven years ago, on a night out, Callum and Sarah first crossed paths. There was an instant connection, but life took them in different directions and they went their separate ways. Then, five years later, fate stepped back in when Callum followed Sarah on Instagram and Sarah decided to shoot her shot with a message. From there, their connection quickly grew into something special. One of their first dates was to Kamakura, where Sarah tried sushi for the very first time, and their shared love of food only brought them closer together.

When lockdown arrived, long walks became their favourite way to spend time together. Alongside Belle and Mia, those walks meant more than either of them realised, and seeing the way Callum loved Sarah’s dogs showed her that he was truly the one. Since then, they’ve made unforgettable memories travelling through Greece, Mexico, Amsterdam, and all around Spain, exploring new places, trying new foods, and falling even more in love along the way. Most recently, they’ve taken on their biggest adventure yet, turning a house into a home. Now they can’t wait to see where life, love, and the future will take them next.

The Proposal

During a mini getaway to Zahara de los Atunes, Callum had the perfect proposal planned—a sunset moment on the beach, exactly how Sarah had always imagined it. Unfortunately, if you know Sarah, you’ll know she loves a nap almost as much as she loves Callum. A pre-dinner nap turned into waking up late, and before they knew it, the sunset Callum had carefully planned had almost disappeared.

With no dramatic sunset proposal and the ring still in his pocket, they headed to Antonio’s for what was meant to be their celebration dinner instead. While Sarah happily enjoyed the meal completely oblivious, Callum could barely focus, constantly checking how much daylight was left and trying to work out how he could still pull off the proposal. Thankfully, with some last-minute help from his best friend and a quickly Google-mapped location near the hotel, the plan was back on.

After dinner, Callum insisted they walk back along the beach, leading Sarah through a hotel and down to the sand while she questioned the route choice the entire time. Once there, Sarah took off her heels and followed along anyway. Stopping beside a chiringuito to “take a photo,” Callum finally made his move. He started reading a poem he had written for Sarah before getting down on one knee and asking her to marry him. Completely shocked, Sarah couldn’t believe it had actually happened but thankfully, Callum’s determination (and refusal to give up on the plan) worked in everyone’s favour.
